Education plays a vital role in creating a fair and just society, building strong communities and knowledge based economy. Role of education in national development in the 21st century cannot be over looked. Education provides equality of opportunity for all and can help people to realize potential not only during their times at school but also throughout their lives. Children coming to school bring a wealth of knowledge, and understanding of the world around them. Good schools aim at building on this knowledge and equip the pupils with skills to transform the world around them through the willingness and enthusiasm to lifelong learning. Olympia Welfare Organization feels so strongly about importance f community service that it is a part of our Mission Statement. We always felt that by providing services to the community, success would follow naturally and it has. Olympia Model Higher Secondary School is an initiative taken for the comprehensive development of pupils. Olympia is the fulfillment of dream which was conceived many years ago. We aim to provide meaningful education to all, ensuring that each pupil receives his/her due right to access education.
These students at Olympia will easily become the next generation of informed citizens, actively participating in their community. These informed students (citizens) engage more and seek better ways to improve economic, social and political life.
Olympia Model Higher Secondary School seeks to enhance educational quality at all levels, in formal and non-formal settings and ensures that all children get into school which provides them with programs and practices that help them succeed. This means addressing and responding to diversity of learners and developing appropriate teaching methods, curricula and relations between school and families and community. The project of Olympia demonstrates application of knowledge, skills and methods of disciplines. To the solution of a problem that would be representative of the type encountered in students’ career.
